Original Dance: Landler, a folk dance. Landler word is originated from the word Landl, an area consists of Upper Austria and the adjoining Styria. People from these ares brought this dance Landler. It developed faster dance or "Landler-Step" Viennese Waltz(2).

 

Viennese Walz was introduced in England as the German Waltz in 1812 (3). This is a faster dance as opposed to the Waltz, the English or slow waltz.
